Sierra and I saw The Vow tonight while Thomas stayed home and played Batman on the Xbox with his friend Chris. It was weird!! I think it was the first time in six months Thomas or I had done anything social in the evening with other people.
I've heard people say that chick flicks are the female pornography because it creates unrealistic expectations for relationships. I always thought that was dramatic until tonight when my female mood swing hormones were RAGING. I came home so giddy and wanting to cuddle and say romantic things all night... naturally Thomas was still finishing up saving the world with Chris when I came home, ready for a night in the life of fictional romance. So when I didnt immediately get the showers of love I wanted my mood snapped 180 degrees in the other direction! It was the most bizarre thing my emotions have ever experienced. The second Chris left I inexplicably burst into tears because my life isn't a heart-wrenching romance.
Coming home to the bat cave wasnt exactly walking into The Vow and my PMS required romance. However, Thomas' reaction was so simple and "us" it made me feel that we had our own little beautifully average love story. No memory loss or years of fighting for each other, just Thomas scooping me up and putting me on the bed, changing me into my pjs and then holding me until he fell asleep and I came out here to blog (I apparently cant sleep with 759,000 emotions surging through me).
Thomas and I definitely have our hard days but I got my own imperfect fairy tale and its everything I ever dreamed of. Okay i'm posting this.. and since its 3:18 and im an emotional wreck i'll probably come back tomorrow and have to rewrite it or just delete it all.
