My "soon to be fiance" is now my husband! Married life is great except for the mess I'm staring at right now... I'm definitely still learning to be a wife.
Things i'm working on:
1. keeping a clean house!! Between class and work and the ever-present television, chores seem to take a backseat.
2. Making a dinner that doesn't consist of mac and cheese and the occasional chicken breast. I need more greens! Oh, and being better at preserving and eating leftovers would be awesome too.
3. not eating every time my husband eats.. how do you stay skinny when your husband eats yummy food by the bucket full?
4. Saving money!
The sad thing is that I cant imagine these issues going away anytime soon. They sound like lifetime pursuits more than things perfected over the first two months of marriage.. darn it! I hope people appreciate wives since we aspire to be house keepers, chefs, personal trainers, and teachers all at once! And on top of it we expect to be perfect at it immediately. I just want to be the cliche wife with an immaculate, beautifully decorated home and a warm dinner on the table with the smell of cookies always present and no dishes in the sink! How do people do it?
